CALIFORNIA OCEAN SUMMIT
May 6, 2004
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Central Valley Auditorium
Joe Serna Cal/EPA Building
1001 I Street, Sacramento

Mike Chrisman, Secretary for Resources, and Terry Tamminen, Secretary for Environmental Protection, are jointly sponsoring the California Ocean Summit to obtain the advice and recommendations of leading California experts on developing a national ocean policy.

Expert testimony from members of the research community, industry, and public interest groups in California will assist the Governor in preparing his comments on the Preliminary Report of the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy. The Governor will structure his comments using the long established mission and goals of California's ocean strategy, California's Ocean Resources: An Agenda for the Future.

No other testimony will be taken. Space in the auditorium is limited and we encourage you to watch or listen to the Ocean Summit via live audio and video webcasting (see system requirements below).
